FIRE IN NEWTOWN
Fire badly damaged portion of a building at 218 Rintoul Street at about 5.30 o'clock yesterday morning. When tlio brigado arrived the flames had a good hold on-the building, which is occupied by Mr. John Potts as a fruit shop and dwelling-house. A bedroom on tlio second floor was severely damaged, while the diningroom, where the fire originated, was partially damaged. The contents of the building were insured for £70 in the Northern office.
