i WOMAN'S SUDDEN DEATH. i A married woman named Elizabeth - Kampton, residing with husband, s Walter Kampton, at 38 Frederick Street > was found dead in bed at her house 1 yesterday morning. She -was 45 t of age. An inquest will probably be ; held. s A son of Constable Pearce, Brooklyn, r met 'with an accident at the Thorndon Railway Station yesterday, which necessitated the amputation of two fingers of his left hand. It is understood Pearco got his hand caught in the machinery of one of the engines, and had tlio fingers crushed. He was admitted to the Hos--3 pital. ] DEATH FROM BURNS, b (By telegraph.—Press Association.) Dunedln, August 18. ? Patrick Fahey, a single man, aged 1 57, who was on the Ida Val- - ley irrigation works, died in Clyde Hos- , pital yesterday from burns caused by - his tent catching fire.
