FOOD PRICES AND WAGES' IN BRITAIN

' Food prices in Britain have increased during twelve months by 36 per cent.', in the large towns and 33 per cent, in the small towns. The Board of Trade •reports little unemployment except in a few "luxury" trades. The demand for labour in tho coalmining, engineering, shipbuilding,. and agriculture industries greatly exceeds the supply. Two and a half million workers have received since the war increases 'of wages aggregating £400,000 per week.
