'Ameeting of ladies interested in the nursing of wounded soldiers and tho district nurses' scheme of the St. John Ambulance Association was held this evening, and a motion was passed expressing the opinion that as the St. John Ambulance Association is the only constituted organisation for nursing sick and wounded soldiers, there is no necessity for the recently-formed Colunteer Sisterhood, and urging on the Government the claims of the association for official recognition in carrying on this work. Fifty-one ladies handed in their names as being willing to assist in district nursing, wounded soldiers nursing, and hospital nursing.
