A WELL-KNOWN BOXER KILLED
By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, August 16. A private telegram from tho Minister of Defence states as. a result of inquiries it has been ascertained that Corporal Charles Savory was killed in action on May 8. Savory ,was amateur lieavy-weig'ht champion boxer of New Zealand, and was a member of the Australasian Northern Union team which toured England.
