A number of prominent business men in Glasgow, Aberdeen, and Liverpool have asked Sir Robert Borden, _ Canadian Primo Minister, to use liis inliuenco to put pressure on the British Government to induce it to accord justico to Canadian meat interests by removing the embargo on the importation of Canadian cattle. ; • Sir Robert Borden pointed out. that equally with the English people Canadians wero jealous of. tho powers of selfgovernment entrusted to them. - It would ill-become a Canadian in a representative capacity to make any suggestion,of the kind.
