For the Trade Union Congress at Bristol on September _6 the agendapaper inoludes a resolution by, the Parliamentary Committee approving of the Allies' action in the war, and expressing .horror at the Austro-Gcrman atrocities. The Labourers' Union has a remit lor the "desirability of effecting a cessation of hostilities consistent with freedom and national honour," and also remits "deprecating territorial acquisitions,"opposing Britain's' "entering. into treaties without Parliamentary consent," demanding a "democratic control of foreign policy," the establishment of "machinery to secure ail international agreement as a guarantee of abiding peace," and the I'mitaticn of armaments. . The Gasworkers' Union has a remit to tho effect that "wo will inflexibly frgbt until Europe is liberated."
