UPPER HUTT MEASLES HOSPITAL.
Sir, —I hare noticed many articles in your paper concerning the military hospitals at Trentham, Kaiwarra, etc., but so far I have seen nothing about tho Convalescent Home at tho Upper Hutt, commonly known as "Izard's." I think it is only fair to those in oharge that the public should know • what' is tho opinion of the many Soldiers who have been there. Speaking for myself, I feel it my duty to say that tho authorities should be congratulated on tho way matters are conducted there. Every attention is paid to the men —doctors visited daily, if not oftener, and if a patient 'suddenly becomes worse the Base Hospital is notified immediately. The food is exceptionally good and suitable in every way for convalescents, especially with reference to fruit, which is supplied in largo quantities. As soon as a man is able to go out of doors he is at liberty to roam about the ground, which consists of six or seven acres of beautiful gardens, lawns, etc. Games and musio are aslo supplied in plenty, consequently tho men do not weary in any way. In conclusion, I feel justified in saying that the soldiers appreciate greatly the way they are cared for by a most efficient .and capable staff, which does its duties thoroughly and for the best interests of those concerned.—l am, etc., A MEASLES PATIENT.
