DEATH OF PRIVATE ROBINSON
AN EXPLANATION. By Telegraph—Press Association. Dannevirke, August 12. , With reference to ihe death of Private Robinson in tho Daunevirko Hospital, after the Minister of Defence had mado a statement to a deputation at Wellington that "the Daunevirko caso was certainly not ccrobro-spinal meningetis," Dr. Mac Allan, medical superintendent of the hospital, telegraphed to him for liis authority for making the statement, and received tho • following reply:—''Sorry to say I was under a misapprehension about tho Dannevirke wise. It had been reported to me that it was not. one of oeiebro-spinal meniugitis." '
