The following is ' '.quantities of hemp,';tow,'.' and. stripper islips, graded at theiports of the:I)8itninion during the month of July:—

Hemp.—The total number of, bales 'praded was 7697, as compared with -4080 for the corresponding month , of ilast year, an increase.of ,J}6l7i.;bales. fjFor the twelve month's ending'"July 31 ;'she number of hales graded was 89,858, fiaa compared.with 129,469 for the prenvious twelve months, a. decrease of '39,611. • .

Tow.—During the mouth.'2o47' bales were dealt with, fas compared with-1482 for th'o- corresponding month of last .rvear, "an increase of 565 bales. . For fit-he' twelve- months ending July 31 tha 'Slumber of bales graded was 23,753,-as ('compared with 41,940 for the previous' Hwelve months, a decrease of 18,187 hales.

So far there. has only been a dight advanco on the prices of the famous Victor Cheese" Vats,-and factories are now ordering in view\of a -possible- further increase.
