THE "TRENTS" AT FOXTON

TOWN EN FETE. (By Tslcerouli—l'ross Association/ Foxton, August 11. Despite the inclement weather, Foxton was en fete this afternoon, when the townspeople entertained a contingent from Rangiotu Camp. Tho Regimental Band —Earl of Liverpool's Own— under Bandmaster Cole, and the drums under Bugle-Major J. Lee, made their first public appearance, and gave a concert in the Town Hall this afternoon and evening. They were accorded a great ovation. The proceeds aro in aid of the Wounded Soldiers' Fund. The contingent was met at the station by the School Cadets. The Mayor, Mr. Fraser. on behalf of the townspeople, thanked the bands, who were lustily cheered. A special train convoyed the contingent back to camp.
