■ * , The Wellington South section, on their last parade night had to elect two additional lieutenants and a capfain. Major C. B. Morison liad charge of the proceedings, and the election, resulted in Liexitonant F. W. Charlton being elected captain and Messrs. M'Keo and Haase being elected lieutenants. This company has now 270 members on its roll, and_ great enthusiasm is evinced amongst its members. Tho company are having a church parade on Sunday morning, leaving the college grounds at 10.15 and marching to St. Thomas's Church. MIR AMAH UNIT. This unit of the National Reserve has now been reorganised under the direction of Lieutenant Nimnio, who has ldndly offered his sorviccs to Major l'ownscnd as lion, instructor. Lieutenant Niinmo, in addition to tho usual routino of company work, will in the immediate future conduct 11011. corns', classes, at tho end of which an examination will bo held, when tho permanent appointments will he made in connection with tho non-commissioned officers, who are now on probation. On Wednesday last the company paraded at Minimal' Town Hall, under Major Townsond, and attended, tho declaration of war meeting, afterward* being put through platoon and section movements by Lieutenant Forne. Last Monday evening tho Riflo Club's aggregate match was concluded. Major Toivnsend, Rowland, and Fox tying with 192 points each. In tho shoot-off Rowland (scratch) was first, with Townsend (received 2) second, and Fox (received 2) third. This evening a shooting match with tho Lyall Bay unit will tako place on their range. The following are the Mir.im.ir teams: —A team: Major Townsend, Rowland, Fox, Wilson, Hull, Mcrccr, Forne, J. Day, Eager, Coombes. B team: Bramwol'l, Stone, Tonilin, Taylor, Carter, Stuart, Martin, Mildenhall, 8011, and Rowntrco. Emergencies: Pritchard, Moxliam, Redshaw, Bennett, Henderson, and A. Day. WEARS OUT BODY AND BRAIN.
