Advice lias teen received by Mr. J. Goor, of Majoribanks Street, Wellington, to tho effect that, the magpie pigeons recently sent to tlie Melbourne Pigeon Show have been _ remarkably successful. Of a total of.eight ontries, Mr. Goer's birds secured two blue ribbons, 0110 for best black magpie, and one for best red or yellow magpie, 0110 silver cup, 6 first prizes and two third prises. ■ Tlicro were several entries in each class from the different Australian States, which makes Mr. Goer's success the more marked.
