Tho Paris Press devotes columns to tl» first year of the war, and eloquently expresses the resolution of tho French to attain victory. The American papers contain a gentle recognition of the fact that Germany has scored heavily on the land, but this is sot off by a generous acknowledgment of the part the British Fleet has played.
