In Henry VIII's reign land was let generally in England for one shilling an acre. After a very successful visit; through New, Zealand the representatives of the Russian Par Company have instructed Messrs. A. L. Wilson and Co. to .sell, on their behalf, on Wednesday next, ths balance of their furs stock. A complete assortment of fur coats and sets of every description, "modelled in the .very latest Continental fashions," and manufactured from the finest prepared furs. Mounted skins, costly sots of all' kinds of valuable ladies' fur coats, and a large variety of jungle coats, etc., will be offered. The public may view this catalogue of furs on Tuesday next at the auctioneers' rooms (Lambton Quay).
