ADULTERATED MILK
DAIRYMAN FINED. (By TeleiraDh.—P ress Association.') Dunedin, August 2. 11l the City Police Court to-day, Thomas Lowis, a dairyman; was fined £2, with costs £3 3s. Gd., on a charge of selling adulterated milk. The evidence of tlie analyst was to the effect that the condition found would be effected by the addition of 15.2 per cent, of water to the lowest grade, or 20 per cent to the average quality of milk. The Magistrate said it was quite possible that water had been added without defendant's knowledge.
