The-crew, witli the engineer's wife and daughter, were saved. LINER TORPEDOED. NINE LIVES LOST. (Rec. August 1, 3.40 p.m.) > London, July Si. The L'eyland liner Iberian (6223 tons)' was torpedoed. and sunk. Seven were killed, and the remainder, including sixty-two of the crew, were saved. The Iberinn's survivors were in the • boats for several hours, and two died on board the rescuing steamer. Washington, July 31. V One 'American muleteer was killed aboard the Iberian.
