' As the result of the action at Nasiriyeh, on the Euphrates, on July 24, tlio Turks retreated for tweiity-five miles. Their casualties were 2500, of which 41 were, officers, and 690 prisoners were taken. Our casualties were 561, including 137 killed and missing.
