ROYAL CHORAL SOCIETY
RESIGNATION OF MR'. HERBERT BLOY. ; The seoretary of the Royal Choral Society (Mr. W. E.. Caldow) has received the following letter"Dear Sir, —On account of the unreliability of my health I am compelled to resign my ijosition as conductor of the Royal Wellington Choral Society, tho samo resignation to take effect immediately. I wish to 'thank the society for their kindness to me, and regret my physical inability to continue this branch of my profession.—Yours truly (sgd.), Herbert Bloy."
It is understood that a sub-committee of the society liave waited upon another gentleman in Wellington .-with regard to taking up the position, and that an answer, is. to be given this week. Tho society has "Elijah" in rehearsal.
