COMMANDEERING A HOSPITAL,
Sir, —"In mentioning the treatment accorded to the troops by the people of'the district, he considered that Dr. Valintine was going off 'tho track, as there was distinctly a difference between billeting troops in good health and accommodating measles cases." Thus the chairman at the.meeting of the Hospital and Charitable Aid Board last week, when discussing a. statement in Dr. Valintino's reply, drawing comparisons between the treatment received at Waikanae and that at' Otaki Hospital. My object in-writing is simply to correct a wrongs impression by pointing out that probably three times as many sick wero billeted' at Waikanae as were sent to tho Otaki Hospital.—l am, etc., . ' . WAIKANAE.
