HOW WAIRARAPA DOES IT
A HINT FOR OTHER DISTRICTS,
■ ''Organisation 5s everything,"- said Mr. A. D. M'Leod, a Wairarapa delegate* to yesterday's Patriotic Fund Conference. "It is no use sitting down and deciding to circularise the district. That is no good—hopeless. What wo did was to set up a committee,' -who went, carefully into what . butter, cheese, wool, and mutton every farm in the district had produced, and calculated what each one had made in extra profit sinco the war broke out. Then those people were visited personally and. told what it was their duty to contribute. He did not claim any particular merit for Wairarapa. What ire have done could have been done in every other district."
The chairman (Mr. J. P. Luke) said that the lead given by Mr. M'Leodwas one that could bo taken up by other delegates' from country districts.
