TWO DEATHS CASE OF MENINGITIS AT PALMERSTON Two • deaths occurred' at Trentham Hospital yesterday. ... Lance-Corporal John Carvills Mußro, F Squadron, Sixth Reinforcements died of septicaemia. His next-of-kin is Mrs. J. C. Munro, of Taihape. Private Ernest G. Gribble, N.Z.M.C., died of cerebro-spinal meningitis. His next-of-kin is Mr. James Gribble, of Tli0 k Hon. It. H. Rhodes stated last nHit that ho thought sickness was diminishing rapidly in the camps, but unfortunately one case of meningitis had occurred at Palmerston. There were 1U serious cases at Trentham, one ■ serious case at "Waikanae, and no serious cases at Tauherinikau. Thero were cases ot measles, influenza, and sore throats, but a very largo proportion or them were now. -convalescent, , and the. men would ; soon'bo out of hospital., ;
