CLUB GARIBALDI
The Club Garibaldi held its half-yearly general meeting on Sunday evening, there being, a. large attendance, of members. The vacancies in the offices of president and vice-president resulting from tho resignations of Messrs. Joseph and. John Vitetta', who we moving to Nelson, were filled by the election of Messrs. Benai and'Talamona. : Mr. A. Paino was elected to the vacancy on the committee. 1 It was dccided to open a subscription list amongst Italian residents in aid of the widows and. children ,of Italian soldiers who fall in the war. During the evening Mr. Renai presented Mr v Joseph Vitetta with a gold pendant as'a mark of the appreciation of the members of his services to the club.
