TAUHERINIKAU CAMP SITE.
Sir,—"A' Mother's" letter gets on my nerves. Can't sherealise that there.'is no room in a soldier's kit for either soothing syrups or dummies? The boy 6 that will make good at the front are those that' can face-rani resist—some temptations. Think a moment at what New Zealand's sons have already faced, and how they havo'come out of it. If there is an open bar at Tauherinikau, I wouldn't be surprised if most of tho boys (mine and "A Mother's" both included) faced. 1 it also, but "A' Mother," dear, don't worry, they'll do as their brothers did at Gallipoli—come out all right. "Mother," bo a man! Don't start us all worrying already, or else we'll never be able to live through the days when our boys are facing : real dangers.—l am, etc., ANOTHER- MOTHER. Dannevirke, July: 17, 1915.
