Tho Prime Minister has received tho following cablegram from the High Commissioner, London:— "Have been informed by New Zealand Shipping Company that East Asiatic Company, Cbpen"hagen, are approaching firms in Now Zealand, asking them to act as agents for steamer service from Continent to New Zealand. This company lias in tho'past had doss working arrangements with German lines, and it is suspected that object of proposed lino is to protect position of Germans later on.
