MEETING OF BOARD OF MANAGE- : ' MENT. The circuit quarterly meeting of the Board of' Management of tho Methodist Church was held on Monday, the Rev. J. G. Chapman presiding over a representative attendance of thirty-three members. The retur'is of membership disclosed 550 adults and 158 juniors, a slight increase on last quarter. The following resolution was carried unanimously: "We hereby place on record our high' appreciation of the. Rev. J. G. Chapman's faithful ministry, now well into the fifth year in this circuit. We gratefully recognise the excellence of his inteusely evangelical pulpit, work, and thank Almightv God' for the good results already achieved, and for the evidence of increasing interest in the spiritual life and work of the Church, conference having legislated for extending the period in special c;.ses beyond five years, we have much pleasure in heartily inviting i\lr. Chapman to continue with us for a sixth year._ If accepted, we pledge our unswerving loyalty, and agree to endorse and confirm this arrangement at the September quarterly meeting." Mr. Chapman, who was deeply moved by this expression of approval and goodwill of his people, heartily agreed to accept the invitation.
