HARRIERS
Tlie Wellington Harriers held their weekly run from Kelburn. Kiosk on Saturday. The pack set off with Culverwell aim Donaldson as pacemakers. 'Bio trail led along the parade, _ then through the tunnel and down Creswicklload to Wilton's Bush, and then through the bush to Karori. Tho tram line was then followed to the viaduct, and back again via Upland Road, to the starting point. A handicap run-in over the last 500 yards, resulted: Culverwell, 1; Donaldson, 2; Eagle, 3. Next Saturday's run will be held from Island Bay tram terminus.
. Tho rough weather did not stop the Olympic Harriers Club from holding its three mile sealed handicap at Hiramar on Saturday afternoon. The entries woro rather disappointing, only seven runners facing the starter. The names and handicaps of the runners wero: —F. Byruo (scr.), H. M'Cauley (2min.), A. G. Osborno (2min.), E. A. Shaw (2min. 505e0.), W. Morris (3min.), G. Hill (3min. lOsec.), G. W. Dixon (3min. 40sec.). . The field got away .together, and were fairly well bunched until about half a mile had been covered, when F. J. Bymo went to the front, closely followed bv A. G. Osborne and A. M'Cauley. These positions wero maintained to the finish. When handicaps were adjusted, it was found that A. G. Osborno had. won tho sealed handicap, his time being 17mm. SOsec., with G. H. Dixon second (time 18min. sscc.), and E. A. Shaw third, time 18min. 17sec. I l '. J. Byrne was credited wit htho fastest time,' having covcred tho distanco in 19min. 32sec.
