COMPENSATION FOR CONDEMNED . . ... .stock; • . (By Telegraph.—Aenbcioiion.'. Palmerston-N.', July 8. A conference of master butchers of the Dominion was held here yesterday. There was a large attendance. Mr. W. C. Hampton. (Wellington) presided. ,It was 'decided that, a Federation of Master Butchers be formed. The Goveinment is to. be asked to increase' tho' compensation for condemned stock' to 75 per cent-, the vendor to be compelled to ; pay a \ share of • tho loss oil condemned stock. - The Government .is also to be . urged to make an appeal to farmers to husband their breeding stock with a viow to increasing the. Dominion herds.
