FOUND DROWNED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) ' _ . Dunedln, July 7. Whilst coming up the Victoria Ohan= nel this morning, the crew-of the tug Plucky observed a man's body floating near the cement works, and on removal to the morgue tlie remains were identified by Mr. Daniel Taylor, of Canongata Street, as ' thqse of liis sou-. Thomas, aged 22 years. Deceased was last seen alive at 7 a.m. on May 10, wheu lie left home to go to work at tlie Hillside Workshops, but failed to put in an appearance. RAILWAY PORTER INJURED. Eltliam, July 7.. William Johnston, aged twenty-two, a porter, ,was shockingly injured at the' railway station ,last night. .He was engaged in shunting operations, whon ha slipped on the rails and a truck ran over him. His left leg . was badly crushed, and ho was taken to Stratford Hospital, where the "leg was amputated fromtho thigh. The patiout's .condition is sorious.
