HOSPITAL SHIP MAHENO
OPEN FOR INSPECTTON TO-DAYv Tlio Now Zealand Hospital Ship Malieno is' c-xpected to arrive in Wellington this morning, and 1 , will be open for inspection between noon and 6 p.m. Between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. the Minister of Defenco states, it is desired that tlio country visitors may be given every opportunity to po cn board. Mr. G. Sykes, 31.P., will be near tho gangway of the ship then, and those country visitors who have not got their tickets may get them from him. "I want specially to ask the public not to linger .on tho ship, but to pass along the ronto that will be pointed out by the orderlies. No parcels will bo permitted to be taken on board, and Visitors are not to touch or handle the articles on tlie ship, the panels, or sides, or the wards as thoy pass through.' They must understand that the ship is not finally completed, nor are tlie wards equipped or finished. Tho best time to see the ship will be when sho returns from service, and then no. doubt the public will be given the right of going over her. There will be two gangways, one for ingress and the other for egress. The hospital personnel will be in places of interest aboard, and will explain things to the visitors. The regular route of inspection must be maintained, and the public will be kept moving." ' Tlio Maheno is timed to sail from Wellington on Saturday, at 2 p.m.
