NIGHT FIGHTING.
GERMANS SUFFER SEVERELY London, July 3, 6.30 p.m.High Commissioner reports:— "In the liight fighting at the Argonne the French maintained their positions, and inflicted heavy losses on the enemy. "East of Metzoral two fresh counterattacks on the crests were repulsed. "A heavy cannonade with shells of all sizes started fires at Arras, which were later mastered. "A French aeroplane bombed the stations at Cliallerouge, Zarren, and Langemarck, also German batteries at .Vimy and Bourains."
