CHAMPJONSHIP MATCHES RESUMED After an interruption of several weeks the hockey fields were again invaded by the players, and revived flagging; interest in the game, an interesting event being the advent of a mew sonior team—Ramblers—an eleven composed of Wednesday menrv Another senior team to mako an appearance was an eleven from Trentnam, which includcdi several well-known representative players—lCavanagh (Auckland), Taylw (Waikato), Fitt (Canterbury), and Haigh (formerly of Wellington). . I'ho Trentliam team had a. most interesting encounter with. St. ' August tiua's, SENIOR RESULTS. Following are the results of. the senior games:— Trentham' (3) defeated St. Augustine's (2).—lzard (2) and Pitt (1) scored for the winners, and L. Webley for tho losers. Mr. G. Kealls was referee. Karori easily defeated Ramblers by 10 .goals to nil. The scorers were: Stratton (3), Heaphy (5), Whittaker and Pell. Mr. Eglin was referee. University (1) defeated Wellington (2). For 'Varsity George' Strack (3) and Foden scored, and Shearer and Bree for Wellington. ■{ United defeated Insurance by 6 goals to 2. Richards (2) and Atkinson scored for United and Gracio and Rii for the losers. JUNIOR MATCHES. United B defaulted to Hutt Valley. • Hutt Valley B (6) defeated Pirates (4). Wesley won by default from Insurance. After an interesting game Karori A defeated United by tiro goals to nil. W. Reid and T. Adams scored for the winners, Stewart played well for the losprs. ■ i LADIES' GAMES, CHAMPIONSHIP MATCHES. , After some weeks' inactivity on the hockey field the ladies resumed their hockey championship games at Karori Park on Saturday. College Girls had an easy victory over Rambler B whom they defeated by nine goals to one. The scorers for the winners were the Misses Smith, H. Laurenson, Geddis, and Valma Gore. Miss. Connors soored for ( the losers. Ramblew defeated Huatahi by five goals to nil. Misses D. Edwards, N. Lang and Piokering scored for the winners, who had an easy victory. JUNIOR. Technical College'(2) defeated College B (1). Miss J. Marchbank scored for the losers, / The Greytown Wanderers' Hockey.
