This week's Sydney boat—the Manukaleft Sydney at 1 p.m. on Friday for Wellington dircct. Slie is due here to-morrow with 43 saloon and 36 steerage passengers, 740 tons of general cargo for Wellington, and 861 tons for Lyttelton. WIRELESS INSTALLATIONS. For the half-year ending June 30 five vessels were equipped in Wellington with wireless plant by the Wellington office of Amalgamated Wireless, Australasia. Ltd. The names of the vessels are as follow:—The Buteshire, equipped with 25 k.w. Telefunken set: the Verdala, Waitorao, and Mararoa, with 1J k.w. standard Marconi ship sets; nnd the Tarawera, with a i k.w. Marconi cargo setThe cargo steamer ; Poleric left Wellington on Saturday in continuation of her voyage to South American ports. The vessel called in here to replenish her bunkers. Oa-ptaln Chisliolm is' in charge of heir. The steamer CB, which lias beon, replaced on the British register as s.s. Conargo and which loaded at New. York for New Zealand ports, is due at Lyttelton about Wednesday next. MESS-TABLE GOSSIP. Captain J. Bollons, of the Government steamer Hinemoa, who lias been on holiday leave, has. rejoined, the vessel. The acting-master of the vessel,, Captain Drummond, has returned to his usual position of first officer. Mr. Simpson is now assistant purser of the Palooua., Overhaul to the coastal steamer A-wahou will be finished at-Wellington to-day and tho vessel will bo. rccommissioned for service. As the SJia.w-Savill liner Athenic has had several thousand tons of London cargo to .land at Auckland she will not get away Trom there for Whangarei till this week to load frozen meat. The vessel is sxpected at Wellington towards the end of this week. After having been laid up at Wellington for some weeks the coastal steamer Wakatu will be recommissioncil to-day. fiho will leave for Kaikoura and Lyttelton at 5 p.m. . Tho Commonwealth and Dominion Hner Port Pirie, which was recently sold to the Glasgow Steamship Co., has been Tenamed Kolvinbrae. Tho Mararoa leaves Wellington to-day for Auckland, where she will be docked for overhaul prior to entering the Sydney service. The vessel will be in charge of Captain Oharles Mac Lean, with Mr. Daniels (ln.te of the Aparimia) as, first officer. The O. and I), liner Indrapura. was to have left Sydney on Friday'for Auckland in continuation of her journey from London to Wellington. The vessel is to call <ut Napier before coming on to WeUington.
