POULTRY SHOW

THE CONCLUDING DAY, The Wellington .Poultry, Pigeon, and Canary Society's Patriotic Snow was brought to a conclusion yesterday evening. The attendance on tho three days was very satisfactory. In addition to awards in the poultry class, previously announced, the following secured prizes:— ". G. Webster won tho New Zealand championship for tho best all-round bird in the light breed utility classes, with a White Leghorn cockerel, The A. and P. Food Cup for most points in the utility classes was won by G. Webster with 23 points, J. Allan (Brooklyn) being second with 19 points. . Other aggregate awards were as follow:—Heavy breeds: A. Stubbs (city) 12 points, J. .Allan 6 points. Fancy classes (modern game): W. Bowness (city). Id points, F. A. Baker (Brooklyn) 13 points. Heavy breeds: H. J. M'Lennan 19 points, Dr. Savage (Auckland). 18 points, J. Gordon (city), 15 points. Light breeds: W. Bowness (city) 14 points, A. Williams (Ngaio) 14 points. Mr. Bowness was awarded the trophy. Tho Davcy Cup was won by J. Condor, not D. M'Arthur and G. Webster, as previously stated, a mistake having been made in' tho cages. THE CATS. The cats wore on exhibition yesterday, and were much admired by visitors to the show. The Club Cup for most points in cats was won by Mr. W. H. Fojplia, with 20 points, wfliile tho 6pccial prizo for most points in tho Breeders' Class was secured by Mrs. Bushbv, who exhibited two handsome Chinchelk cats, malo and female. Mrs. Bushby also won tho roso bowl, while each of her exhibits was awarded a first prize. Mr. W. • H. Foglia obtained six first prizes and also a special prizo for Persian kitten, blue, under eight months. Other prize-winners were: Mrs. Peterson, five firsts; Mrs. Bernasconi, two • firsts; Mrs. Wyeth,- two firsts; Mrs. Burberry, two firsts; Mrs. C. Hawkins, one; Mrs. Nannestad, one; Mrs. G. Baker, one; Mrs. H. Bolton, one; Miss M. Kelly, ono; Miss Marks, one; Miss Burton, one; Miss Murphy* one;. Mr. A. M, Mullins, one; and Mr. C. Hawkins, one.
