MILITARY HOSPITAL GUILD
COMFORTS FOR SICK SOLDIERS. A sub-committee of workers to receive and distribute comforts for the sick in the various military hospitals in the Wellington district lias been formed by the Military Hospital Guild. All gifts can be forwarded to the Town Hall depot, Mercer Street, between the hours of 10 and 12 noon, and 2 and 8 p.m. each day, except Sunday, and on Saturday between the hours of 10 and 12 noon only. The Mayoress (Mrs. J. P. Luke), Mrs. M. 'Myers, and Mrs. A. E. Pearce will AirtJier be grateful for any money donations ear-marked "Soldiers' Comforts," which they can expend in tlio comforts most urgently needed. All such donations will be acknowledged from time to' time through the Press. Cheques may be made payable to Mrs. 'C. M. Myers or Mrs. Vida Pearce. The committee would bo glad to havk. a list of those who will contribute regularly, and suggests that such gifts' as fish, fruit, soup, etc., would be most acceptable.; Also magazines games, etc., would relieve the monotony of convalescence.
