A LUCKY FARMER
A month ago a Wairarapa farmer had 500 tons of potatoes which he was prepared to sell at £5 per. ton, but there Were 110 buyers at the figure. During this week he has cleared out tho line at £7 per ton on the ground. Consequent upon the prohibition placed upon the export of potatoes, tho price has eased somewhat on the local market, Potatoes were quoted yes-' terday at £" 15s.' and £7 105. per ton.
