By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, June 21. A special meeting of tho Board of the New Zealand Trotting Association was held to-day. The business of the meeting was consideration of an appeal lodgod by G. Leggatt, owner of the horse Flako Cut, against the decision of the stewards of the South Wairarapa Trotting Club in disqualifying his horse for the President's Handicap at the club's meeting on June 3 on the grounds that ho had started before his proper time. The case submitted by tlie club included the ovidenoo of the starter that Flake Cut had started before his bell, and his driver had been called off tho track twice, but had continued in the race. Tho starter, howover, had not informed the judge of this

fact, and Flake Cut's nuinl>cr had been posted as (lie winner. The board decided after brief consideration that t'he question was one of fact, and therefore no docision could lio. The question a? to whether tho Jippollant's deposit of i; 10 should bo refunded or not and other points connected with the wise were deferred till tho next mooting of the board.
