FOR POLAND

MISS TADEMA'S APPEAL. Miss Laurence Alma Tadema, honorary secretary of the Polish Victims' .Relief Fund, London, has made the following appeal to England: "0, you island people, whom the sea saves from your toes, whose land lias seen no conqueror sineo Norman William came, whose homes are safe to-day, whose fields are growing green with promise for to-mor-row—\vhat will you give to Poland? "A penny, a shilling, a pound, a thousand pounds—nothing will seem too little, nothing will be too much. Ten million people are on the verge of starvation, and you can save them; a whole nation once dear to your fathers, that nation which of all others has suffered most for love of liberty, can be kept alive by your help against the day of freedom. "Give, give all you can. Twenty-five million Polish hearts will bless you for every little loaf, every brick, every garmentj every handful of seed bought with British coin. "Beyond the veil of the future, bloodstained and dark now, lie new hopes for all the world; let Great Britain pass through it into light, holding Poland's hand." Superfluous Hair is one of the most distressing blemishes with which women are afflicted, and hitherto there has been no permanent cure. Electrolysis invariably leaves the face badly marked, even more disfiguring than the hair, and depilatories aTe worse than useless, for they only burn the hair off, and cause it to grow out doubly strong. "KULDAH" is a medical formula which hns no equal for destroying the roots of the hairs, it is quite unlike any other superfluous hair remedy and it behoves every woman so afflicted to give Kuldah a trial. It leaves no trace of anything having been applied, and is a marvellous cure, as thousands of satisfied users have proved; price 6s. 6d., in plain sealed wrapper, from the following Chemists: G. Mee, Chemist, > Lambton Quay, Wellington; H. L. Sprosen, Chemist, Dunedin; A. Eccles, Queen Street, Auckland; W. H. Woolams, Queen Street, Auckland; or from Madame Bouffare, Swaneon Street, Auckland.
