SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY

The concert given at the Sailors* Friend Society's room last night by Miss Dcdds and party was most enjoyable. Each item was received with much enthusiasm by the large crowd present. The voting for the Sea King progressed a step further. The voting now stands, Ist Pink, 2nd Blue, 3rd White, 4th Rod: A mouth-organ contest was won by one of the Rerauero hoys. Tho following contributed to the programme:—Misses Dodds, Richardson, D. Moore, Messrs. Walker, Culverwell, Moore, and Master M'Arthur (the baby Harry Lauder). Cheers for the performers concluded .a. very pleasant evening. Mr. Moore said a few words on temperance.
