Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held their, fortnightly salo in Daniievirli® yards on Friday, when they offered a. fair yarding of shcap. Competition was much keener on all sheep than the previous sale. We quote the following prices :-Good woolly hoggets, lfc. 3d.; good Shorthorn ditto. 15s. 2d.: others, 14s. 2d. to 12s. 6d.; one lino of 4-year ewes in lamb made 17a. i others, 15s. to 10s. 9d. Cattle: 18-months steers, £2 155.; heifers, £3. At Woodville. on Monday, the firm offered a- fair yarding of sheep, which sold well in advance of late rates. Prices roalisea for medium fat wethers, 235. 3d.; store wethers, 20s. 3d. to 17s. lid.; fat, lambs, 15s. lid. to 15s. 6d.; stotc lambs, 12s. Id. BJ Ite. 4d.; s.m. cw&i in lamb, 17b. 7d.; empty ewes, 11b. lid. Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Limited, report having conducted a very successful sale on behalf of Mr. H. E. Mowbray, Hukanui, on Monday. Tho entire dairy herd iras taken over by the purchaser of ill© property, at valuation, consequently only .the heifers, horses, and implements and sundries were disposed of at auction. The heiferg were an exceptionally good lot of very nice quality, )tt splendid condition, and w«?re very keenly competed for, tfrp Holsteins making from £14 to £16 10s., and the Jersey-cross £10 to £11 se. Smaller and younger sorts, £5 to £8. Draught hordes sold exceptionally well, but were good sorts, making £35 to £50; aged horses, £17 to £21; breeding 60W6, £2 to £3 Us., iiged cows, in calf, £5 10s. to £8; and potters, down to £2 12s. 6d.; grade Holstcin bull, £7 17s. 6d.; grade Jersey bull, £10 10s. Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report as follows on their Woodvillc sale ol June 21:—We offered, a good yarding of sheep and cattle. There was improved demand for all daeses of stock, and we mifle practically a total clearance at prices satisfactory to vendors. Quotations:—s.m. ewes in lamb, 19s. Bd.; f.m. ewes in lamb, 13s. Id. to 15s. 4d.; fat ewes, 19s. 6(1.; woolly lambs, 14s. 3d. to 155.; fat steer, £8 155.; empty cows, £4 12s. to £5 155.; store cows, 335. to £2 12s. 3d.; heifers, in calf, £4 1 55.: weaner heifers, 225.; 10 dairy cows offered on behalf of Mr. J. Harris, jun., 7 were sola from £8 to £10, making the lirst-class ayorage of £9 35.; Shetland pony, £8. A heifer sold on account of Mr. J. O'Neill for the Wounded Soldiers' Fund, realised £7 7s. 6d., being bought by Messrs. W. Logan, W. Curry,' and H. Boagley.
