CROYDON SCHOOL TOURNEY. The annual boxing tournament of the Croydon Preparatory School was held yesterday afternoon and evening at the school, Day's Bay. - Mr. Staples and Mr. W. G. Talbot acted as referee and timekeeper respectively. The following were tiie results:— Fly Weight.—First round: T. Manoy beat • Jennings, M. Bennett beat P. Manoy, H. Le Grove beat M'Laren, Didsbury beat Barton. Second round: H. Bennett beat T. Manoy, Didsbury beat Le Grove. Bantam Weight.—First Round: Lawrence beat Gorringe, Haynes beat Mackenzie, Williams beat Daveney, Bayley beat Johnston. Second round: Lawrence beat Haynes, Williams beat Bayley. Feather Weight.—First round: Macart'hur beat Rofleston, Levin beat Maunsell. Second round: Macarthur beat Shirtcliffe, Willoughby beat Levin. Light Weight.— First round: Newbigin beat Martin, Liverton won- by default, Pearce beat Warburton, Bower beat Loughnan. Second round: Newbigin heat Liverton, Pearce beat Bower. Middle Weight.—First round: A. Russell beat B. Strong. Second round: Earle beat J. Russell, Warren beat J. ■Nelson, Ellis beat Baldwin, A. Russell beat R. Nelson. Third round: Ellis beat A. Russell, Warren beat Earle. Heavy Weight.—Trolove and Farrington to box in final. The finals and a physical drill display by the boys are to be held on July 3 at Day's Bay, in aid of the Wounded Soldiers' Fund.
