We bombarded the munitions armament- factory ?iear Trieste. An enemy destroyer torpedoed tho small steamer Maria Grazia. The crew landed. UNDEFENDED TOWNS SHELLED BY AUSTRIAN WARSHIPS. (Rec. June 20, 3.30 p.m.) Romo, June 19. Official. —Austrian scouts and destroyers bombarded tho completely undefended towns of Pernio and Rioini, damaging only a few houses. Three civilians at ltioini were suightly wounded. ITALIAN SEAPORT ATTACKED BY AUSTRIANS. Rome, June 18. An 'Austrian cruiser and four destroyers bombarded Fano (a seaport on the Adriatic, 28 miles miles north-west of Ancona). The damage done was insignificant. With a garrison averaging thirty thousand and powerful natural and artificial defences, multiplying tho possibilities of resistance, Tolmino is gradually becoming for Italy what Przemysl has been to Russia, Tolmine being the key to the Iszono Valley. Its early capture, with a view to ensuing tho safety of Friuli, is indispensable. The Austrians, who have been reinforced, have taken the offensive without result against tho Italians encamped at Brentonico, on tho slope of tho Altissimo Mountain, and at Serravalle, in the Langarino Valley, also in tho ArsaValley. HOW A HUNGARIAN BATTALION WAS ANNIHILATED. (Rec. June 30, 3.50 p.m.) Rome, June 19. The Hungariau battalion anmmkteed, as cabled yesterday, climbed the Viata Mountain, lioping to outflank the Italian position. The Alpini, creeping through undergrowth, withheld their firo t.ill closo up, and then poured in a rain of bullets, and finally sprang_ forward with their bayonets. Tho enemy was terrified and confuscd, and tried, to escape, but found tho Alpini on evory sido. Tho entire battalion was killed or taken prisoners. MUNITIONS TRAIN CAPTURED IN A TUNNEL. Rome, June 18. The Italians at Plava, out the trans-Alpme railway, capturing in a tunnel a train containing cannon, macliin® guns, and a quantity of ammunition.
