DISPERSAL SALE OF CLYDESDALES

Messrs.- Gorton and. Son, in conjunction with Mossrs. Dolgety and Co.. report having held Mr. -Short's sale of Clydesdales at Almadale Stud Farm on Wednesday, Juno 9. There was an exceptionally large attendance. The competition for stallions was not keen, but the better-class marcs and foals were particularly well 'competed for. Bil-lot-h. Lady topped the market at 300 guineas for marcs,- and a filly foal from Lady Lothian by Lonsdale Again topped the market for foals at 135 guineas, at which price she was token by Mr. Moore Hunter. The price is believed to be a. Dominion record for a foal. Eoyal Acme topped the stallion figures at <10 guineas, and was purchased' by Mr. Nichols, of Belfast. Canterbury.
