ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL NO MATCHES NEXT SATURDAY. i Mr. A. E. Wells presided at the r weekly meeting of the Management Committee of tho Wellington Football Association last evening. Tho secretary of the combined sports' candidate committee wrote suggesting s that in view of the shortage of stall ' accommodation at tho Town Hall dur- • ing the present bazaar a separate s bazaar should bo held by the combined 7 sports bodi<»s in the Harbour Board's 1 "U'j Shed from Juno 22 to June 25 (in- . elusive). The writer stated that the - hockey players and harriers had decided . to run stalls. It was decided that the matter be held over and placed before j a meeting of supporters and players . which will take place this evening. r A letter was received from the secretary of tho Y.M.C.A. Boys' Football Club suggesting that a Fourth Division match betwoen Institute and Y.M.C.A. A teams be played on the Basin Reserve at the Association football gala next Saturday. Tho letter was referred to the Sports Committee to be dealt with. ' Concerning tho alleged charges made ' by Mr. A. Bolton against a certain 1 member of tho Management Committee 1 the former had been asked to attend the meeting of the committee to subj stantiate his statements. Mr. Bolton - did not appear, but he forwarded a j letter stating that he had found it im- > possible to offer absoluto proofs regard- > ing his allegations, and he therefore withdrew his charges, apologised, and I tendered his resignation as a member of the Management Committee.
