At 10 o'clock in tbe morning a man smashed one of the windows with a ' muffled wallet, while his accomplice seized a tray of diamond rings, valued at £3000. The pair rushed through the Royal Hotel, and one held_ up the pursuers with his revolver, while the other locked the door leading to Fleming Place. Both men escaped. 1
