DARING DAYLIGHT ROBBERY
1 JEWEL THIEVES GET CLEAR AWAY. (By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (Rec. June 14, 11.6 p.m.) Melbourne, June 14. A daring daylight robbery took place cti Drummond's jewellery establishment in Collins Street. At 10 o'clock in tbe morning a man smashed one of the windows with a ' muffled wallet, while his accomplice seized a tray of diamond rings, valued at £3000. The pair rushed through the Royal Hotel, and one held_ up the pursuers with his revolver, while the other locked the door leading to Fleming Place. Both men escaped. 1
