Messrs. Dalgety and Co. report having held a- clearing gale at Papaiti of Mr. R. 0. Earlee stock and sundries on Tuesday. The stock yarded was of particularly Rood class, ancl met with strong competition. \Yc ffliote: Four and five-year big-framed ewes, in lamb to Southdown rams, 275.; two, three, and four-year Southdown rams, bred by Mr. James Johns, 5 guineas; fat and forward ewes, 21s. 10d.; fat and forward lambs, 16s. 2d.; fat and forward bullocks. £14 2e. Sundries cold well, but J horses were-not iu demand. Hacks made from £5 to £12. In the conr.se- of the sole we offered on behalf of t the Belgian Be-
lief "Fund two lambs, which were donated by Mr. Baric, and after beinir sold a number of times realised a tola-! of .£37 10s. A 1 horse also donated by Mr. Earlc for tho benefit of the same fund realised £11 10s., and another •J.orso donated by an anonymous piver on behalf of the Hospital Ship Fund mode £1. At our snle on Juno 9 we had a- small entry of sheen and cattle. .Sheen were in paod demand, but cattle wotc dull of sale, the bulk of the yarding being passed at auction, thcucrh we quitted most of the lines afterwards. At Waveriey on June 11 we had a- small yarding, which met with a ready sale. We quote: At AVaneanui-Dry ewes. lis.
