' "'he latest lied Cross donations include fourteen motor ambulances for the war hospitals, and three motor launches for the operations in the Persian Gulf. The interest and assistance of the Indian Princes in the various war funds is unabated. Recent gifts include: iMaharajah of Sirolii, 25,000 rupees*; .Mahararajah Bana of Dholpur, 10,000; the Mahararajah of Bharatpur, 50,000; Mahararajah of Holkr, one lakh of rupees for comforts for Indian troops at the front; the jßajah of I'oonah, 20,000 rupees for motor ambulances; the Maharajah of Datia, an armoured motorcar : the Chiefs of Katiawar, increased contributions and motor ambulances, equal to nearly two lakhs of rupees. [*15 rupees go to the English pound sterling.]
