BRITISH CASUALTIES
2492 FRESH CASUALTIES. (Reo. June 12, 1 a.m.) London, June 11. The casualties announced to-day total 2492. They include 1800 on the Western front, and 528 Australians and New Zealanders in Gallipoli. Mr. Macnamara states that the loss of life in the Navy during the war is 6409. This includes the casualties on the Bulwark and the Princess Irene.
The annual report of the Pahiatua Farmers' Association states that the association is steadily advancing, and the yards have been further improved during the past year. The sum of £343 has been expended in additions tothe cattle yards and in concreting the cattle and sheep yards. These improvements will be appreciated both by shareholders and by the auctioneering firms doinc business in the yards. The directors suggest that the new board of directors take into consideration the concreting of the sheep pens, between the two sheep alley-ways, during the coming year. Tho past year's operations show a profit of £135.
