RED CROSS CONCERT

For to-morrow evening in the Town Hall the St. John Ambulance and Red Cross Society have organised a very fine Red Cross concert in order to raise money for the Wounded Soldiers' Fund. His Excellenoy the Governor and the Countesß of Liverpool have accorded their patronage, and the Prime Minister and Mrß. Massey and the Mayor and Mayoress have promised to bo present. Mr. Norman Colley, Mub. Sac., will preside at the organ, and render two organ- solos during the evening. Misses Allwright and Exton will sing a duet: Miss Janie. Petrie will recite "When? (a piece written in the trenches by Private W. Brown, of the 2nd Seaforth Highlanders); Mrs. Woodward will sing "Rosebuds, and Mr. Bowler Watson "Invictus." Mr. Norman Aitkon win bn hoard in a musical monologue, "'ls Pipe," and Miss Janie Petrie will also recite "A Tribute to Our Fallen Heroes," written by Mr. Leo. Buckeridge, of Wellington. Admission will be by silver coin.
