$ (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Taumarunui, June 11. Sir Joseph Ward addressed a crowded meeting at Taumarunui to-night. Many were unablo 'to gain admission. Mr. Wackrow presided. The speaker during a 2J hours' address criticised the Government's administration on many points, and defended the policy of the Liberal Party. Tho victory of Mr. Jennings, ho said, would not necessarily mean a dissolution, of Parliament as was being given out. ,lle quoted instances of changes of Government elsewhere during the war. A most attentive hearing was given, and, at tho close, Mr. Ryan moved, and tho Rev. Ward seconded, a vote of thanks and confidence, which was carried by acclamation.
